Christmas fun!

Pat dressed up as Santa again this year, Branko's reaction wasn't quite the same..

House is cozy/decorated for Christmas!We didn't do a real tree this year, and I've gotta say, it was kind of nice..
He has been loving stacking his rings lately..


Branko has clogged tear ducts, our pediatrician says it normally goes away after a year and Branko's hasn't, so she referred us to an eye specialist at Children's. It was cute how they have to do eye exams with non-talking toddlers. The medical assistant showed one of those pictures where you look at it and then a 3D heart will pop out, when Branko saw it, he clapped/smiled and was so happy and amazed.


This part of the exam he didn't like, the drops really made him upset. We were supposed to go back since they couldn't do the full work up they needed because he got so upset. His eyes have actually gotten so much butter, even before this appointment, that I ended up cancelling the follow-up. It took 2+ months to get into the original appointment, I didn't want to cancel. We also knew we wouldn't consent to surgery, so it was best to just cancel. This appointment was 2 hours long because they had to wait for his eyes to dilate. We walked around the hospital a little, I soon found out that Branko HATES elevators.

My co-worker Julie, in the snowman shirt, hosted a bridal shower for my other co-worker Ashely. Julie's house had Christmas decorations everywhere! I loved it! Ashely was our nurse who helped deliver Branko!

Branko sleptover at Auntie Jodi's house while Patrick and I were at Missy's for her Friendsgiving party. Looks like they had a blast! Branko got to have his pack and play set up in Nora's room for the sleep over. Branko was so excited he woke up at 530!

November 6th was our little guys first real smile, and boy does it make all the exhaustion worth it! Starting to bring his hands together :) Nora being put to work and getting to feed her baby cousin! More smiles with Auntie Jodi! My favorite time of day are mornings in bed with Branko, that’s if he slept well the night before. But he is extra smiley in the morning! And those blue eyes really pop with the lighting in our room! New Beginnings

 Welcome to our blog as we welcome our first baby into the world! A few of my family members, mainly my sisters (yes I’m dissing you Jeff for failing on updating your blog in YEARS), have a blog that I enjoy refreshing for updates every week, so I thought, why don’t I make one?!  Being pregnant during covid and quarantine, as well as being a nurse in a hospital, has brought its challenges/fears/anxieties, we persevered )so far) and are ready to welcome this baby boy or girl in just a few short weeks! 2020 has gotten a very bad rap, it’ll be a year in history to remember, from Covid-19, all non-essential stores and restaurants closed, Black Lives Matter, to my hometown of Kenosha being looted and set on fire due to a police officer shooting, making global news.  September 25th is our actual due date, so we’ll see if Little D decides to come early or late.  I probably should have started this a little earlier, but I thought we could just go down memory lane of some photos during the preg

Christmas in Florida!

 We were lucky to spend another Christmas in Florida with Patrick's mom, sister, and papa. These pictures uploaded in reverse order, but you'll get the idea. We had an early flight that left at 6:40 AM, yikes! I was nervous with how Branko would do, but he did fabulous waking up at 4AM and acted like it was a normal morning. We got to the airport and through the line for security when my ticket wouldn't scan. My husband thinks my birthday is June 20th and not June 25th! This isn't the first time he's done this. Last time was before our trip to Cabo (that we never got to go to due to Pat hurting his back), however, Patrick caught it the day before we were supposed to leave. Luckily, the airport wasn't too packed and we were able to get through the line again without any wait. We were very lucky to fly out before this "massive" snowstrom that was to come. Schools were cancelled-including colleges during finals week, allowing for kids to have 2 days extra
