Disney World and baby #3!!

Both boys fell asleep as soon as we landed.... in Orlando. We waited for everyone to get off the plane before waking up these sleeping beauties. We started the trip out rough, I was super sick with no energy the day before we left and Patrick had the same symptoms the day we left. I think we may have had Covid after hearing what other people's symptoms were after we got back.

I didn't want to bring their car seats, so we booked a bus to take us from the airport to our hotel. NEVER AGAIN! (at least while the boys are this young). We waited in the airport for the bus for an hour and a half. Recipe for disaster after waking up early, driving to Midway airport, being on a plane, waiting in line for the bus, and then sit on the bus to get to the resort. It was a lot and not a great way to start the trip. We'll get a car rental next time. Yes, we thought about an uber, but they only have options for 1 carseat.

We stayed at the Contemporary Resort to be on the monorail and close to the majority of the parks. The first night we wanted to go to Magic Kingdom (since it was the closest park to the resort) but they were closing early since it was the first night for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween. We got the meal plan, so we decided to make reservations at Woody's Roudup Rodeo at Hollywood Studios. However, since our bus was late, we missed our reservation for dinner and we missed the reservation to pick up our stroller (you had to be there in person for pick up, they wouldn't leave it at the front desk). So, we decided to take the monorail to EPCOT. I only have these 2 pictures from that night as Branko had a meltdown and wouldn't wear his shoes and we just needed to leave. We did make it on the Frozen ride, and I did cry happy tears and was thankful to be there.

The double stroller we brought from home is not the most comfortable for the boys to ride in all day. Conrad was siting in the back of the stroller and was falling asleep falling forward with no support. Not having the rental stroller was super annoying.

The next day we had breakfast reservations at Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. Conrad was pretty restless the night before with a cough, but we weren't going to let it stop us from our Disney vacation.

Conrad loved all of the characters. A lot of my pictures with the characters are just of the back of Conrad's head.

We did the ride a few times. I never ride at it at the zoo and I can see why the boys love it so much.

We all fit in one car for the buzz light year ride.

The boys had a budget on what they could spend on souvenirs.

Thank you fast passes! We also went at a very "quiet" time due to lots of kids just starting school back up again. (We left labor day and came back Friday of that same week)

It's a small world

Both boys snoozed a lot in the stroller. Thankful we rented this!

Baby Donovan #3 due March 9th! I had just gotten to my second trimester the week of our disney trip, so besides being sick the day before we left, my energy level started to come back. It was super hot during the day, so pushing the stroller with both boys in it was a lot for me, but for the most part, I was able to keep up!

We got the photo pass and this was the first ultrasound photo we took of all of us and I thought, this is it! It turned out really cute!People walking by were so sweet and saying "Congratulations!" We printed out Disney photos to tell our parents with this one mixed in to see if they noticed. We're waiting to find out the gender. When we first found out, Conrad said "GIRL!" clear as day for the first time ever. Branko has been pretty consistent saying it's a boy. I was hoping the toddler intuition would give me a clue. But I'm excited to keep it a surprise until the delivery date!!
More photos from our photo pass

Branko looks SO happy here! I was worried he wasn't going to like seeing the characters, but he saw how much Conrad did and really enjoyed himself.

Boys were napping in the stroller, so we did some photos of just the two of us.

Our hotel room was on the first floor and we had a view of the river where they have a little light up boat show a few times a week. Disney does just go above and beyond your expectations with little surprises. We had a corner room, so our room was huge.

I definitely did not pack enough clothes for us as I just assumed we would wear the same clothes all day. We went to a park in the morning, sweat through our clothes, swam at the pool, and then went back out to the parks later.

After spending the morning at Magic Kingdom, we ended our day at Hollywood Studios.

Branko always laughs at the Olaf parts when we watch Frozen and of course, they wore their Olaf shirts already! I feel like everything we planned, we ended up cancelling, and we just went with the flow, which was totally fine by me (our outfits just didn't go with the parks I had originally planned).

We ended up getting to eat at Woodys Round up  Rodeo, it was pouring outside (luckily our stroller came with a cover and the boys gladly took shelter in) and we had sit down restaurant credits (I'm so bad with all the disney lingo-Patrick did a lot of the app navigation) so we were able to squeeze in a reservation for dinner before heading back to the resort for the night. Not to complain, but all of the disney food was terrible and SO expensive. This was probably the best food we had the entire trip.

Very concentrated on his art work.

Dessert before we headed out

The next day we went to Animal Kingdom. Remember how I said Branko is super into zoo animals these days? Prior to our Disney trip, we watched youtube videos to prepare Branko for some of the rides. His favorite video to watch was the safari ride at animal kingdom. We had to wait for the bus to get there, so we got the boys some donuts in the meantime. Check out their cute hats I got from Etsy.

Time for the safari ride!

One of Conrad's souvenirs.

Later on that day, we went to EPCOT. The boys swam in the pool, we packed them up, and they fell asleep in the stroller on the monorail. That was a really nice thing about the monorail, the boys could just stay in the stroller and would fall asleep so fast during the commute.

We had some time to do what we wanted while they napped, so we walked around the world and got to use up a bunch of our snack credits.

(out
of order photo, but here are the boys eating their ice cream that quickly melted). It was super hot this day and apparently the temperature is the hottest at animal kingdom due to it essentially being a swamp.

Peep the bump!

Branko also got a buzz light year souvenir bubble machine

Back to EPCOT

Boys woke up and and it was time to go on some rides. This was the Ratatouille ride which I think was my favorite ride.

The ducks were a big hit too.

The ride Branko talked about the most when we got home was the Nemo ride. I think he really liked the aquarium at the end. Conrad is in this photo, but its super dark.

We attempted to watch the fireworks this night as the boys took a late nap and we felt like we didn't have to rush out with 2 toddlers melting down. Neither of the boys have every seen fireworks, Branko was scared of them, so we ended up leaving and then knew that we didn't need to waste our time attempting to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

We got to meet some characters this day at EPCOT

Branko picked out a lion stuffed animal from animal kingdom. His favorite animal is a lion these days (just like his mama at his age)

The photo pass photographers had us pose like this, I thought there would be some cartoons on the pics, I guess not!

The next day we had breakfast at the Polynesian, which was right off the monorail for us. Can you tell the monorail totally made our trip by being so easy?

We had a pool day this particular day because we were TIRED! It was still a lot of work at the pool as they had a slide the boys loved, but one of us needed to be at the top and the other at the bottom, but it was nice just staying at the resort this ay.

Later on in the afternoon, we went back to Magic Kingdom to catch the parade. Boys were tired and slept through the whole thing.

Up and at em!

We were in line for the dumbo ride and it started POURING! Luckily they have an indoor play area for kids, so we were able to stay dry. We never did get on the ride, but that's okay.

Final ice cream treat

More photo pass photos they took for us. Some are really cheesey but deserve a spot on the blog.

Our last night we were going to attempt to watch magic kingdom fireworks from our resort, but I was too tired to leave. We ended up using our last meal credits at the steak house in our resort (the only steakhouse on disney property). The resort was huge and we didn't have silverware to eat our steak, but it was still good eating it with our prime rib with our fingers. The boys got a fun incredible cupcake to eat.

More pics from our character breakfast.

Prior to going to the airport, we had one last character breakfast with Chef Mickey before we left. This breakfast was right at our resort, making it a no brainer to book it and a great way to end our trip.

We had time tired boys on the ride home. This was Conrad's last plane ride being in our laps!

That's a wrap on our first Disney vacation! Would I do it again? Yes! Was I tired for 2 weeks afterwards? Also, yes.
