It's a..... BOY!
It's another boy!
Our "last" day as a family of 4 was a Saturday, so we went for a drive, got coffee, and drove around the Racine lake front. There's a super nice neighbor hood with a bunch of Frank Lloyd Wright houses that I've never seen before.
This was my view as we waited in the drive thru line at Starbucks
Another picture to remember this phase of our lives.
One of the last bump pics!
These two will wake up tomorrow in anticipation of a new baby brother or sister! My mom came up this night as we had to be at the hospital at 6AM. We thought it would be easiest for the boys to get a good night sleep at home before a bunch of changes happened.
I like to remember what the weather is for the birthdays of the boys. It was chilly, but sunny!
Some of the night shift nurses decorated my room. They did such a nice job! When I got there it was just me and one other patient, after I delivered, the place blew up with twins, emergencies, and people coming in for labor.
We got there around 6AM I was already 4cm, my pitocin was started around 8AM, 10AM I got an epidural, 1030AM-they broke my water and was 5cm, and at 1244- the baby was here! Nice quick induction :)
IT's a BOY!!! Michael Benetti Donovan!

When we both saw it was a boy, we just laughed and then the tearsof happiness came. It was such a smooth, straight out of the book, delivery.
Dr. Lovell was able to deliver all of our babies. She was actually in house this day. She had three 24hr calls the prior week, this day being her last. She had several trips planned to Hawaii and DR during the month of March. I was really hoping to make it to my induction date as I would've felt so bad having her come in on her day off post call. Thanks for cooperating, Michael!
Michael was a bit cold, so we was taken under the warmer for a bit.
We factimed our moms and told them it was a boy and they both didn't believe us as he was wearing a "pink" hat.
Such a cute newborn!
My office mate, Trish, knew the gender (half) of my pregnancy. They now put the gender in your My chart in your anatomy scan report. I wanted to be sure everything was good and hear the measurements, but didn't want to accidentally see the gender. So she read the report to me. Since she knew the gender, I sent her a link/money to an etsy shop to get a blanket made. When she ordered it, she was so nervous that the spelling was going to be wrong. Since Michael is a common name, I thought for sure it was a girl since she was so nervous! Our girl name was Beverly, so I thought, sure there are a few ways you could spell that! Boy, did she have me convinced it was a girl for the last few weeks!
My mom came up to bring the boys in to meet their baby brother. I'm so happy we did as I just thought it would be easier for them to meet him at home.
First meconium diaper, so sticky and tarry!
Ready to go home!
The nurses on the postpartum floor also decorated my room, I truly felt like a VIP!
First night home! My mom was at our house with the boys and our first night was a bit rough! Branko woke up screaming and wanted to sleep on the couch, we played musical beds, and I woke up at one point confused as to where I was and saw blankets over what I thought was the bassinet, but really I was in Branko's bed and they were over him. Thankfully, that was a short lived experience, and Branko was back to his normal sleep routine the next night.
Welcome to our family baby Michael! I didn't mention this in the blog as I thought I had picture of my dad's reaction when we told him, but I think it's in a video. We named the baby after my dad! I love that Branko has a family name and knew I wanted to use Michael at some point (papa Branko's middle name is also Michael), so I thought it would be strange if we used it with Conrad. When we found out we were pregnant with #3, I knew it was a sign to use Michael as our boy name. I think my dad's pretty excited to share a name with him too!
