Happy 2nd birthday to Conrad! Life in October..

 Looks like these photos uploaded from latest to earliest. So looks like we're starting with Halloween. Halloween fell on a school day for these two, so here are the pics sent from school. Conrad was a fox (which he was as a newborn too-got to use this costume for both boys) and Branko was a lion. These two love to still wear their costumes and you can often find them wearing them at the zoo. Branko prefers to wear costumes rather than putting pants on these days.

Our neighborhood does their own trick or treat the Saturday before the city does theirs and it's always the BEST time. You truly feel like you're in a movie. We invited some close friends and their kids up. Joe/Lindsey even came up to us from Peoria to join in on the fun. Here is our attempt at a group pic, which neither of the Donovan boys are in (not surprised!)



Branko LOVES werewolves, skeletons, and all things Halloween. A lot of our neighborhood decorates for Halloween, so we often drive around (and have a specific route) to look at all the decor. Christmas decorations aren't as fun for Branko to look at (unless its a skeleton santa)

A few days before Conrad's birthday, I passed my ANCC exam for Nursing Professional Development! It's something I agreed to do before taking my new job back in 2022, so it feels good to have this done!

Here are some of my favorite pictures of Conrad's 1st year of life!

Conrad enjoys running around with Branko, going down the slide and swinging, and eating. This guy LOVES to eat all day. He loves dogs, dressing up in costumes, and climbing on everything.

Conrad is our easy going kid who goes with the flow and loves helping out mom and dad.






















We ended the day going to soccer (which he hated) and then playing at the park outside the school.

We combined the boys' birthday parties this year. Branko doesn't like to be the center of attention and with their birthdays only 3 weeks apart and with all our kid friends coming over for Halloween, we thought we'd invite just our families over to celebrate their birthdays.

In early October, we spent an evening at Jellystone with Jodi and her daycare families and its always a great time.






One weekend, we went to the mall to check out one of the Halloween stores and ended up playing some arcade game.




We've gotten lots of use out of these costumes this year.

  Someone got into the red paint post bath.. Fun trip to the library This wall had them entertained for a while Conrads a bit more of a nurturer than his brother Get in m belly! Disney World and baby #3!!

Both boys fell asleep as soon as we landed.... in Orlando. We waited for everyone to get off the plane before waking up these sleeping beauties. We started the trip out rough, I was super sick with no energy the day before we left and Patrick had the same symptoms the day we left. I think we may have had Covid after hearing what other people's symptoms were after we got back. I didn't want to bring their car seats, so we booked a bus to take us from the airport to our hotel. NEVER AGAIN! (at least while the boys are this young). We waited in the airport for the bus for an hour and a half. Recipe for disaster after waking up early, driving to Midway airport, being on a plane, waiting in line for the bus, and then sit on the bus to get to the resort. It was a lot and not a great way to start the trip. We'll get a car rental next time. Yes, we thought about an uber, but they only have options for 1 carseat. Sip and see-Oh the places you will go! Also, Easter, Masters, and April randoms

 On Wednesdays, Branko has daycare, leaving me with the two younger boys. To be honest, having all three of them is easier than juggling the younger two by myself. Conrad is at a tough age right now where he wants all of my attention and gets aggressive/jealous when I need to feed or hold Michael. On this particular day, we needed to get out of the house, so Conrad led us through Target. He ran away twice, which was fun chasing him with the doona stroller. Thankfully, it wasn't busy! I hate the running away phase! We also went to my favorite coffee shop. Meanwhile, Branko learned about trains at school and was excited to go to his mama's house as his destination. Michael has started to be more alert these days. I just LOVE his eyes Superhero brothers!
