July Recap
I apologize for my few followers who have been checking back here for an update, I was having a hard time uploading my photos from from phone to my computer. Alas, here we are 5 months later. Get ready for a big update!
At this point in July, Conrad has been in day care 2 days a week for about a month. His teacher has given us great feedback and wrote us a note that Conrad is very caring and when another kid cries, he tries to comfort them and give them a toy. He still cries at drop off, but he quickly stops after a few minutes.
He sure loves to cuddle with his teachers.
Fourth of July came around and JP/Kristina/Eddie drove up to attend the parade. We got there about 15-20 minutes before the start of the parade as we knew the boys would get a little restless waiting around. The people in front of us was a family with high school/college age kids and they were so kind to give us a part of their space right on the street. It truly made our experience so much better and fun.
First family photo as a family of 5 ;)
Front row seats may have been the most fun for Patrick..
Conrad sat in JPs lap for just about the entire parade. JP was a trooper and didn't move, it was a hot/humid day, and once they stood up, they both had butt sweat stains on the cement.
Afterwards, we came back to our house, set up the inflatable water slides, and tie dyed some shirts. I thought I bough big enough sizes, but they sure did shrink and Branko's shirt fit Conrad.
What's the fourth of July without sparklers?
The fourth landed on a weekday, so some of us had to work the next day. We ended the night watching the NYC/Washington DC fireworks on TV.
Patrick took the boys to the Dinosaur Museum with his mom one weekend day, they have a batmobile there that Branko was pretty stoked about.
Happy boy with his superheros. It's funny doing this blog 5 months later as the superhero phase is now a thing of the past. Branko is very much into zoo animals and all things animals these days.
I thought this picture was funny to show you how tall Branko is compared to kids his age in his class.
Our next door neighbors gave us this toy car. Branko is still trying to figure out how to drive it and Conrad is a smidge too short to reach the pedals. I think we'll get lots of use of this next summer.
We had lots of hot evenings enjoying our inflatable water slides, great investment! (but a pain to dry and put away)
Every time we try to go to Green Meadow as a family, it starts to rain. At last, one day Patrick got to experience this place.
This view never gets old
Branko has spent all of his cash on the ice cream truck this summer. He's already saving for next year.
Hey dad! Look at us!
Water day at school!
When the 3 year old falls asleep on you, you've got to take a pic
The end results of our shirts from the 4th of July
Our last play date with Iris before they move to Ohio :(
Swing does the trick every time..
We did a little window art painting.
Another day at the zoo!
Conrad sure loves his sleep sack
Fun day at Grandmas!
We signed the boys up for a music class this summer, Branko LOVED it.
Eddies 5th birthday party!
Branko's first face paint!
He originally picked the picture with half of his face being painted as a spiderman mask, but he kind of freaked out and we just had them do something small. Proud of this guy for staying still and allowing this to happen!
Splash pad day with mom! I like to go to the coffee shop across the street while we wait for the splash pad to open.
We met up with Meadow at the splash pad!
Later on that day, Conrad tripped and cut his lip on the end table. This picture doesn't really show how bad it was. We did a virtual video chat and they told us to take him to urgent care to see if he needed stitches. Luckily, he did not since it was just on his lip and not on the skin. Thank god.
One day, Bennett came over for a play date with Grandma.
Sonic and ninja turtle ice cream is usually the go-to order from the ice cream truck. We sure supported our local ice cream truck this last summer.
We went to my friend Jackie's house to celebrate her birthday. Their hot tub is kept at bath water temp for the kids to swim.
Ella got to blow out her mama's birthday candle.
Bennett and Zoe came over one morning and our new lovesac couches got delivered while they were here. The boys had fun climbing all over the boxes. Branko even changed his shirt to match Bennett.
The semi-pro baseball team near us had a superhero themed night where the kids got to go on the field and meet spiderman.
The mascot also had a captain america shield!
The last baseball game we went to was a disaster since Branko just ran around the whole time. This time, I wrote a book and printed pictures to help prepare him for this event. We at least made it a few innings this time!
Branko approves the new cushions.
When did this boy become such a toddler?
Pics from Grandma's house (from Auntie Jodi)
Our old couches stayed in our garage for a few months. We put it on facebook for free, someone just needed to pick it up. We didn't get any takers, so when the city came for fall clean up, off they went. It was kind of nice having a couch to sit on while the boys played in the driveway on their bikes.
