August Recap

This guy has not been a fan of the stroller lately...

Boys are enjoying the new couch! As I update this, I have never taken any pictures of the finished look! I got a new rug for the living room and it looks so much better! I also got rid of the TV stand which really opens up the space and allows more room for the boys to play.

For Kelly's birthday/Christmas gift (Patricks sister), we went to lollapalooza. It was another hot day, but we saw the Killers and they were so good live! I didn't realize how many songs of their I actually knew. Those are the best concerts. Brandon Flower's is definitely in the right line of work because he knew how to work the crowd.

Reunited.

If only he would still wear this helmet...

Conrad sure has expressed his opinion on what he wears these days.

Cute pictures from school!

Chocolate cake to celebrate mom and dad's 7 year wedding anniversary!

Branko wanted to bring his monkey to the zoo

This is what our sandbox looks like most days. Branko could spend hours burying his super hero's, rinsing them off in the water table, taking them out and making a pile, and repeating. Now that it's cold out, he does this with his plastic animals in a bin of rice. It makes a mess, but it keeps him happy and content!

I got Patrick a cheese grader to connect to our kitchen aid, Conrad enjoys helping and being a taste tester.

Conrad has really shown interest in the potty lately and has been going every now and then. With Branko, we were starting from scratch with potty training bc he would pee a little bit at a time, whereas Conrad holds it. I had to wait to start potty training Conrad until he turned 2 and is moved into his new classroom at school, as his current classroom doesn't have bathrooms. Since this picture, we've been potty training Conrad for about 3 weeks, he's starting to be able to verbalize to us that he has to go, but a lot of it is still seeing his potty dance or deer in headlights look.

We sure do get a lot of use of our zoo pass!

One weekend in August, we planned a girls trip to stay at Taylor's cabin near Minocqua. It was a cold weekend in the 60's, but nice to get away. Here we are in our matching sweatshirts this year. I'm actually wearing it right now as I'm writing this post!

The school did a siblings post on facebook and the boys were featured!

Sensory play is this guys love language.

I love how concentrated Conrad gets when he writes/colors.

Magician at school!

We headed to the Kenosha County Fair one day and ran into the Bjorns/my uncle. I'm not sure if I've ever been to this fair or not? We went early and it was the perfect size for the age of the boys.

Dessert for breakfast!

I loved serving dinner outside to the boys at this table. Easy clean up!

Filter fun!

This guy sure loves pushing anything around.

Shoessss!

Got to go to the zoo with Ella/Jackie while Jackie was still on maternity leave. Lots of carasal pics in this month!

Got both boys to sit through the Kohl's Show this day somehow.

Worn out from the morning

Patricks mom offered for Branko to spend the night and attend their local fair. Once they got there, Branko was a bit overwhelmed and they went home and went to the park.

Patrick was out of town this particular weekend (same cabin as I went to, just boys trip this time) and Conrad and I got to have a little date. Dinner/ice cream at the Chocolate Factory followed by some splash pad time.

There was an event going on (can't remember what the fundraiser was for) where there were teams of people we're on rowing machines. They had some good music and allowed for great entertainment for Conrad.

This summer Conrad was in swim lessons and did GREAT! He loved going and being dunked in the water.

Blue eyed beauty.

Very helpful boy when it came to watering the flowers this summer.

Halloween is just around the corner and this guy still is bummed its over.

Another Green Meadow Trip with Meadow and Dawson!

Conrad could eat cereal for every meal

The local lions fest was during labor day weekend, we were prepping Branko for our Disney trip and standing in lines and riding on the rides. Stay tuned for our Disney pics and a fun announcement!
