Mother's Day, play dates, and other May randoms
It's time to update the blog! Today marks the FIRST day where both boys are at school and I have the day off. I haven't been alone in my house since being pregnant with Branko. Technically Patrick is still here working, but I feel like the world is my oyster today. I plan on doing a workout on the peloton longer than 20 min and power washing the garage/patio furniture, maybe I'll go and get my nails done? We'll see!
But first, coffee, GMA, and blogging.
These pictures are in reverse order, but this picture was during Patricks birthday weekend. He is now 35 and I noticed some gray hairs in his beard and hair the last time I cut it. I always thought they were just super blonde. We had a few friends over to grill out and let the boys play outside. Conrads outfit looked so cute here.
We brought a TV outside and were watching golf with our neighbor while the boys played. Branko ran inside and fell asleep on the floor.
Branko had spring soccer that he did not want to participate in, so we spent lots of weekends at this playground. It's huge, fenced in, and the boys love it! They built this playground when Pat was in grade school, he remembers getting to vote for the name of it.
I got this table for Nora for her birthday when she was a toddler, it's gone full circle and is in great shape! I loved setting dinner up for the boys out here, such an easy clean up!
This picture was taken after a play date with Iris and Ruby. We stopped and grabbed lunch at McDonalds and this guy was passed out on the ride home.
I hope this isn't the last hug I see from these two as they move to Ohio next month!
Car wash fun!
Conrad somehow got to play with Branko's superheros
My friend Mary Bryn was in town from Maryland, so we got the boys together to play and for the mom's to hang out
Now to mother's day. We had a fantastic mother's day. The weather felt like summer! We had brunch at the Stella in Kenosha with Patrick's mom, stopped at Sams club to buy a blow up water slide for the boys, and then played outside the remainder of the day.
I got these watering cans from Target, they were attempting to water the garden, but took a quick sip of water. There's nothing like some hose water.
The slide is huge!
I was so worried about being sure Conrad didn't fall from the top. Then, Branko fell from the top onto his shoulder, I thought he for sure broke it. After some tears, all was good, and that was the end of the water slide for the day.
Here are some pics we took from our brunch. Conrad was pretty restless, but the food was really good!
My old co-worker, Joanna, turned 40!
We go through a lot of raspberries in this house.
One of the few moments our kitchen is actually clean.
Zoo days with these 2.
Someone found Brankos hulk hands and someone is about to take them away from the other..
Sometimes dad peaks his head out while he's working.
Another day, same park.
Kentucky Derby! I was doing the dishes and peaked my head up at the TV and they were talking about a specific horse. I ended up cheering for that horse and he won! Pat was cheering for the horse that got in 2nd place.
As we were watching the race live, Pat has the remote in his pocket, and right at the end (it was a suspenseful race), a button was pressed, and we missed the end of the race. Pat goes "No Branko!" when in reality it was him!
We went to our friend Jerica's house and hung out with her 2 kids, Meadow and Dawson. She drove Conrad around in her car. Branko preferred to push them in the back and was so excited to help when they got stuck. "I did it!"
