Our mischievous 18 month old
I cannot believe Branko is a year and a half! He's still not talking much, he has a few animal sounds that he'll say inconsistently, such as "ba" "moo" "nay". Still does not say mama or dada, but will point to our picture if we ask "where's mama/dada" and becomes very frustrated when I ask "who's that?" We have a speech evaluation in a few weeks, so we'll see what they think.
As soon as Branko turned 18 months, the temper tantrums have changed. I no longer can distract him during them, now he just needs to work it out. He's starting to bite, pinch, and pull hair when he's mad (or just playing) so we're working on that as well.
Here are Branko's 18 month stats:
27 lb 7 oz (86th percentile)
2'10" (92nd percentile)
Head circumfrance 47.5cm (52nd percentile)
He sure is growing like a weed!
I think we made cookies or brownies or something that Branko was helping crack the eggs.Cute little outifit <3
We re-arranged our basement so there was more room for Branko to play and put his toys. My cousin Bridget dropped off lots of toys that her girls were too big for and it fits perfectly in our play area. Branko sure loves that trampoline.
He also LOVES this ball. Anytime he sees Patrick, he'll grab this ball and get him to play with him. Good purchase on our part! (I think Patrick enjoys it just as much, he's been practicing his rainbows)
We had a few nice days in March, so Branko and I went to the zoo a few times that week.
Rosy cheek, teething toddler
Someones also learned to sit on the fireplace.
My mom was down in South Carolina with my aunts and grandma, leaving my dad with the boys. My sister Karen ironically had spring break during that time, and came up to help my dad with these two. I hear my dad didn't need much help as the dogs and boys enjoyed being near him.
Someone has also figured out how to open the blinds, I have since tied these so he can't get to them anymore. I couldn't handle crooked blinds anymore!
Play day with Charlie to celebrate his dad's birthday!
Snuggles with Grandma!
Here's our boy on his year and a half birthday!
In addition to unloading the dishwasher (clean or dirty-doesn't matter to Branko) he also enjoys taking the clothes out of the washer and dryer. Sometimes he gets a little upset when I put the wet clothes IN the dryer.
Mac and cheese, yummy!
We randomly went to Betty Brinn with Joe/Lindsey/Charlie, it was busy, but can't wait to go back on a weekday. Branko enjoyed exploring.
Loves his elephant!
LOVES putting his shoes on-or any shoe for that matter.
Branko's half birthday cupcake!
All smiles before we began to sing..
If you attended Branko's first birthday party, this is why we didn't sing to him-not a big fan of the song apparently. I had to take screenshots of the video I took to show you all.
I took this picture one morning when Branko was attempting to put the dirty dishes away, he was not happy with me.
Look at all of those teeth!
Branko's also a good helper at filling up his water bottle, or his way of telling us we need to fill it..
I tell you, he loves shoes.
One weekend Branko had a diaper rash, so we let him run around with no diaper on as well as no pants so we could change him as soon as he got wet. I thought I'd bust out his potty to get him familiar, he sure did enjoy playing with it!
Thats one way to sit on it...
We had huge snow flakes falling down in early April. This kid has gotten used to going outside almost everyday and he insisted to go out this day too. Patrick took one for the team and they played in the snow and played on the swing.
One of his favorite shows-Super Simple Songs
Kelli and Derek went to the Bucks game as their first date night since Cam to celebrate Derek's birthday. They were passing out championship duplicate rings to the fans. They gave Patrick their extra one, he was excited!
Branko also LOVES brushing his teeth. He always sits on this rug before I brush his teeth. He has a hard time saying good bye to the tooth brush.
I knew the boys both had this track suit, so I asked Kristen to dress Bennett in it one day so they could match. I think my mom enjoyed it too!
