Arizona, Baby Cam, Galena, and other randoms
Well, I have the dreadful covid... After 2+ years of dodging it, it has finally caught up to me. I'm almost positive I got it from work, as I know of a handful of people who have it. I'm on day 3 of my quarantine, so I thought I would catch up with the blog!
Over Valentines day weekend, Dana and I flew out to visit our friends Ashley. It's my second time going to visit her for the Waste Management Golf Tournament, last time I was newly pregnant with Branko, so it was a whole new experience for me. Little did I know... (special post for that news)
Ashley does hair and one of her clients husbands works for Jim Beam who got us VIP seats on the 18th hole, unlimited drinks, food, and a place to sit.
Also, in this post, you get to meet baby Cam! My friend Kelli had her baby where I work and I got to be there for her scheduled c-section for her breech (big) boy, Cam! 11lb 13oz born on Feb 20th! Unfortunately our schedule on 2/22/22 was completely full, but 2/20/22 is still a pretty neat day!
Back to Arizona, I took a picture of this random guy because I thought he looked like PAt.
Here's Pat's favorite golfer, Hidecki Matsuyama. He won the masters last year and gained a lot of attention, he unfortunately didn't win this tournament, nor do I think he did well on this hole-from what I can remember.
We got off at the wrong stop on our bus, so we had to walk a bit to get to the uber pick up. Dana bought some girl scout cookies and try to hitch a ride.
Meanwhile, here's Branko pushing Bennett on the car. Branko's not a fan of sitting in the cars, but does enjoy pushing it. Works out well!
It's swinging season! I can't even tell you how many tantrums we've had when its time to get off the swing... we're working on it.
My little cutie.
The day before Kelli delivered, we had a brunch at Taylors and we got to see her new house. They have lots of land and plan to get chickens!
Branko showing off how much he can carry. But don't mess with him, he'll get upset if he can't hold all 3.
I decorated Kelli's room a bit, she was only going to be in this room pre/post op, but it needed some color. Ironically enough, these decorations were from her bachelorette party that I hosted at my house shortly before the world shut down.
Here's our big guy!
Branko trying to "wash"Nole.
Not sure how he feels about the carwash.
We got to spend some time with my co-worker Mariah and her daughter, Iris.
Blue eyed beauties.
I try to get pictures of the two of us, but it just isnt so easy when he just wants to grab my phone and play with it.
I have video of it, but you can't upload videos on this easily. So here is proof of the beginning of Branko putting dishes away. He is very observant and knows where a lot of them go! I need to do some rearranging so he can put away more :)
Since I was in Arizona for Valentines day, I thought I would plan a weekend getaway for Patrick and I in Galena, IL. I've heard great things about this town, it kind of gives me a mix of Door County/Cedarburg/Lake Geneva vibes. Its a cute old town that's about 3 hours away. I unfortunately wasn't feeling the best this particular weekend, but it was nice to sleep in and relax. Thanks mom and dad for watching Branko!
I love flamin' hot cheetos and Patricks bloody had it in there, I think I might steal this idea!
We were going to go skiing during this trip, but couldn't (you'll see in another blog post), but we wanted to drive out and check out the views.
Big yogurt fan!
One of his favorite parts of his day!
While we were in Galena, Nora helped my parents watch Branko. She kept texting my sister if she could stay longer and longer. I sure do love the bond between these two!
More Arizona pics! Little did we know, we'd have free drinks once we got to our seats.
Cheers to a fun weekend!
Had to end this post with most of the team that took care of these guys, look how big Cam is compared to Dr. Narayan!
