Fun with Auntie Jodi!

Branko had just started babbling "baobaba" I took a video of it, but can't upload videos on the blog (easily at least) so I had to snap a pic to remember. I've been waiting for him to babble, and finally, a day before his 9 month doctors appointment, he finally did it!
Patrick was in San Diego for a bachelor party for one of his good buddies, so Branko and I spent a day at the zoo with my friend Katie and her two kids. Branko went on his first carousel ride. He was pooped when Katie left, it was a nice day, so I thought I would just continue walking around the zoo while Branko took a snooze.
Branko was lucky enough to go to Green Meadows with Auntie Jodi and the girls, I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or Auntie Jodi. I've never been to this place, but I can't wait to check it out! I LOVED getting all of these photos while working, it looked like such a fun day!

Branko was added in to this re-enacted photo, I Hope they continue to re-create it!
This swing looks like so much fun!

Branko asked Auntie Jodi if he could bring a kitten home as a souvenir. Luckily, Auntie Jodi talked Branko into a cool new green t-shirt. It's pictured at the very end of this blog. He loves it! It's a 2T, but fits perfect!

Another day spent at the Rock, enjoying the weather, having some cocktails, and watching little league baseball.
Photo update from Grandma!
Lunch at Belair with Grandma. This was one of the first times Branko ordered off the menu at a restaurant.  Black beans were a BIG hit!
Leftovers for dinner. Note the black bean ring on Branko's face from his cup. Branko belongs to the clean plate club.
Another fun day with Auntie Jodi and Grandma while Patrick was in San Diego, was the Renaissance Faire, one of my favs.

Ava and Nora attempting to climb the ladder. It looks way easier than it really is. Neither was them were able to make it to the top, there is always next year!

The girls got to go on almost all of the rides as well as zip lining. I think they were a little unsure of everything when they first walked in, but ultimately really enjoyed themselves. Branko was also unsure in the beginning, he wasn't a big fan of the Mooney Show, all of the cheering scared him. We got garlic mushrooms while Grandma/Auntie Jodi/Ava/Nora watched the show.

We were there just about the entire day, Branko did great staying in his stroller while he watched his big cousins go on the rides. At the end of the day, it really cleared out and the weather cooled down, so Branko practiced his walking.
Grandma bought the girls masks as souvenirs, Branko wanted to try it on. He got a little stuffed hamburger as a souvenir.

Auntie Jodi gave us her playhouse, I remember Ava playing with this all of the time when she was little, I'm excited to see Branko do the same!

I think this was the last time Branko was in his bouncer, he really hated going in it most of the time, but I had to snap a picture of a smile while bouncing!
It had been a while since I had given him plain greek yogurt, I should've warned him!
Towards the end of July, Patricks grandma fell and broke her leg. She had a history of ALS, so this took a big toll on her body where she started to drastically decline and could no longer eat or drink. His family decided hospice was the best option for her. They decided this on a Monday and she passed away on Friday, July 23, waiting for her final child to be able to catch a flight and say their final goodbye. During that week, Patricks sister Kelly came up to stay a night with us since their mom was down in Florida. We took a walk down by the lake, ordered Chinese food, and crumbl cookies (if you know, you know). We did a celebration of life for her a few weekends ago on August 21st (pictures to come). Patricks whole family flew into Wisconsin to celebrate Gram and share memories of her. Lots of memories involved Lake Tahoe where she had to "close" the kitchen since all of the teenagers/kids never stopped eating, Disney, cruises, and Mexico.  Below is the brochure that was given to everyone, which was the obituary. Orchids were some of her favorite flowers, the patio at home is covered with orchids and is so pretty!

A brisk morning calls for swinging with blankets!

Here is Branko in his cool new Green Meadows shirt! I love this color on him!
