10 months!
10 months old! These donuts get more and more tempting for him each month, resulting in the use of props. We've officially lowered his crib (this was done shortly after he turned 9 months). Branko has mastered army crawling, still does not want to crawl "normal." He is starting to follow commands and will give you a ball or block if you ask, starting to give kisses (my fav), briefly starting to wave, started to sit from being on his belly, trying to pull himself up on furniture, plays "so big/so small", peak-a-boo is his jam, and is starting to throw mini tantrums, mostly when not being able to go outside. His top teeth are just about to cut through, making for some difficult nights and difficult bottles/feeds.
One of his favorite activities is reading, I find him playing in his room surrounded with books. This is one of his favorite books, "Thats not my bee" or "Thats not my sloth." Both of those books are green and he gravitates towards them mostly, or maybe because they're green.
Branko watches gymnastics during the olympics!
Pre splash pad pic! I wish they had the splash pad in the neighborhood park when I was a kid!
Rocky Rococo with Great Grandma Helen. My mom wanted to get Patrick and his mom a plant in memory of Gram, so the four of us did a little shopping and grabbed some lunch.
Never the sight you want to see on the monitor...
July 30th, one of my friends got married in New Orleans. She was supposed to get married in March of 2020, but obviously had to reschedule. It was a hot and humid weekend, but it was one of the coolest most unique weddings I've ever been to.
Here's our bride, Mary!
A few Kenosha kids during the welcome dinner.
Right before the parade
You may notice glitter on our faces in the previous photos, that's because, Mary hired drag queens to face paint glitter. It was so funny seeing everyone out and about in New Orleans after the wedding with glitter all of their faces.
It was a quick 2 night trip, Patrick and Branko picked me up from the airport and we stopped at Patricks Uncle Gerry's for lunch and swimming.
Uncle Gerry got to have a quick snooze with Branko while Patrick and I took the jet skis out on the lakes.
Branko's favorite part of his day, bath time.
I'm going to miss seeing pictures of Branko and the girls now that they're back in school, in-person this time.
Hallway forts!
Branko has been practicing walking with his walker, he's a little top heavy causing him to fall forward a lot, but he's still working on it!
Special moments with Grandpa!
More olympics!
I want to remember these sweet little chubby hands.
Spaghetti!
Branko wanted to drink (water) out of a wine glass like mom. I get it, spaghetti isn't the same without a wine glass.
Friday, August 13th, Patrick and I were in Cleveland for a wedding, remember when Patrick was in San Diego for a bachelor party? Well, this is the wedding for that bachelor. Pictures of us dressed up coming soon. While we were in Cleveland, my parents watched Branko Thurs-Sun. On Friday, my mom threw a carnival for all of the kids. It was Jodi's last week watching the Bjorn girls since they had summer trips/school starting. My mom wanted to make it a memorable day for them, so they got to jump in the bouncy house, swim, eat cotton candy, and so much more!
This picture cracks me up! Note the empty height chair, Branko wanted to sit with the girls. My brave mother letting a 10 month old who throws his food/drink everywhere sit on her white chairs!
If this picture doesn't show you what pure happiness looks like, I don't know what does!
Those top teeth are just about ready to make their debut!
Here is a view of the reception for the wedding. Our hotel room over looked where the reception was, making it for an easy walk home!
Stormy and Branko!
Nora got to spend the night when Branko was there, making extra Nora time for Branko!
While we were in Cleveland, my niece, Bella, texted me this picture of Branko! She did such an amazing job! She said she got bored and drew this picture! I can't wait to see it in person and am so lucky to have such a talented niece who does this in her down time. Thank you Bella!
Here we are dressed up for the wedding. I was supposed to wear this dress to my friend Kelli's Puerto Rico wedding. I ended up getting pregnant shortly after buying it, then covid happened-making Kelli postpone her wedding then ditch the idea of getting married in Puerto Rico and getting married in Milwaukee instead. So I was very excited for finally be able to wear this dress! This wedding was another postponed wedding that was supposed to happen August 2020. I lucked out and didn't have to road trip to Cleveland being 36 weeks pregnant! Congratulations Andrew and Sarah Siegel!
About to outgrow his little tub
Coffee date with Grandma and Great Grandma!
On Thursday, August 19th (our 4 year wedding anniversary), some of Patricks family arrived for Grams celebration of life. We hosted and some of his family got to meet Branko for the first time! Here are Aunt Julie and Uncle Matt!
The Branko's! Baby Branko ate pasta for dinner, so to avoid extra laundry, no shirt was necessary.
The following day, we went to Uncle Gerry's to swim and relax for the day.
Cousin Natalie gets into down and gets to meet Branko!
Saturday, was the celebration of life. This was the only time Branko was okay with neither Patrick or I holding him, I had to document what I could! Peak-a-boo with Uncle Matt!
Soaking in snuggles with newly engaged, Kaleigh!
More snuggles with Will and Kara!
"Wait, you mean to tell me I'm not the only Branko?"
Kisses for everything.
Frozen popsicles/naps on the couch after a rough night of teething. This particular night he was up 3 or 4 times screaming. Tylenol, which normally does the trick, wasn't touching him, so snuggles it was. Luckily this happened after Patrick's cousins left!
"Mom, can you see my new teeth yet?"
"Branko, show me your tongue."
