It's been a while... April 2021- early May 2021

It's been about 3 months since I last updated, sorry!!! Again, these are out of order, but at least their here! I think they all uploaded backwards, oh well. It's been a busy spring/summer. We've been to Florida, Missouri, up north Wisconsin, and Door County the last month and a half. Time to wind down, soak up the summer, and catch up on the blog!

I feel like this picture is old news, because Branko sleeps like this every night now. He used to sleep flat on his back, but not he's more of a side sleeper.

First time sitting in a cart! He wasn't sure what to think!

Branko has become such a good eater, he'll try anything!
Back in May, Pat's friend JP (Moses' dad, if you know, you know) surprised his fiancé to a night in Milwaukee, we were special enough to join in on the festivities. They have an almost 2 year old, Eddie, who was with them for the afternoon, before JP's mom picked him up for the night. We all went to the zoo! After the zoo, before we all went home, we went to the Milwaukee Public Market and had some apps before calling it a night. Branko sure loved chilling with JP. (I think JP loved being able to hold him too)

While we were at the zoo, this particular bonobo ran right up to Pat and put his hand on the window. There weren't big crowds of people or kids running around, so it was a really neat moment.

Sitting up really well all by himself!
You'll see this below, but we got a swing set for our backyard! Branko doesn't seem to mind using the neighbors girly swing. He's rocking the pink!

Nora, one of Branko's favorite people.

Love getting pics with Auntie Jodi!

Lindsey and Charlie came over for a visit!

Here are our Mother's Day pictures. We went down to Patrick's moms house in the morning and then tried to go down for a walk down in the marina in Milwaukee, however, it was super windy and quite chilly. We walked around the Third Ward and had dinner at the Milwaukee Public Museum. It was the first time Branko's eaten at a "restaurant" and Patricks first time since pre covid. I felt like it was the perfect place to ease into it. Not too formal, since we're rookie parents, and good for Patrick since they were pretty strict on only two people between the Plexiglas. I had a great first mother's day, Patrick made me feel as if it were my birthday.

The day before Mother's Day, we got together at Jodi's. She made her infamous cupcakes and even made cake toppers. She put a particular filter on all of our faces to make it look like we had lip filler and eye filler. I guess my mom didn't recognize me with my luscious lips!
Grandpa snuggles!
Here's a closer look at the picture where my mom didn't recognize me. LOL!
The look you give Uncle Scott, so Auntie Mary snuggles it is!
This is Monica, she is one of my co-worker's who helped take care of me when Branko was born. She was on call that night and stayed 4 hours extra to continue to take care of my and this sassy boy with his crappy heart tones! She was shadowing one of my prenatal classes that was virtual ( new for me too!)
This is one of my favorite pictures of Branko, my current background on my phone!

Spending time on the rooftop at the new Apis Hotel in Kenosha for their Kentucky Derby party. It was a beautiful day, but super windy! Not good for the big Derby hats. I luckily brought my rose crown from my bachelorette party at the Kentucky Derby.

Branko got to hang out with, Iris, my co-worker, Mariah, new baby girl!

7 months! I'm really bummed, my Facebook got hacked, so now I can't see what I wrote for his monthly photo! Anyway, as the months go on, the lower my expectations get for them turning out okay. He just wants the donuts, can't say I can blame him!

The B Boys doing some tummy time together.
Rocking his new hat from South Carolina from Grandma!
Swing set update: The neighbors directly behind us (not seen in this photo) wanted to get rid of their swing set since their 3 girls are too old for it. They said it came with their house, and offered it to us. We just had to figure out a way to get it to our yard since there is a 6 foot fence in the way. My brother Jeff was planning on coming in the spring some time, so I tried to plan it around him to have an extra guy help move it over. Initially, we thought we would be able to slide the fence out of the bracket, but that didn't work. So, we carried it over the neighbors 4 foot fence an walked it around to our yard. I love where it's located in our yard. Its shaded in the evenings, which is usually when we use it, perfect for keeping the sun out of Branko's eyes. My dad has plans to re-sand it, get a new tarp, and put a sandbox underneath. Our other neighbor helped out and also gave us his extra baby swing. We sure have some pretty awesome neighbors! This was back in April, the weather was perfect in the morning to move it over, it eventually got chilly in the evening, but it was nice to have the whole Benetti family over, have a cook out, and spend time together.

You can kind of see the route we had to take to get it over.
Go Dallas Stars!
Hanging out at our friends Kelly and Matt's one last time before they move to Appleton.
Cute pics from Auntie Jodi!
Back in May, my friends and I threw Dana a surprise Bridal Shower at the Kenosha Brewing Company in Kenosha. I remember going there when it was Brewmasters, which I always loved going to. Dana's mom hired a fruit carver.
The bride and groom! They were the reason why we were up north Wisconsin. They got married in Cable, WI, which is 6 hours north! Beautiful wedding, pictures to come.
