The Start of 2021


We started out 2021 needing a new hot water heater. Patrick and I were taking down all of the Christmas decorations and were in the storage area where the hot water heater is and didn't notice any leaking whatsoever. Then, Patrick went to take a shower and noticed that the water wasn't getting warm, went downstairs to check out the hot water heater and noticed water on the ground in the storage room. Luckily the leaking was not bad since we caught it so early and we were able to turn it off right away (thanks to my dad for the frantic phone call). We give Branko a bath every night as part of his night time routine, he hasn't had a bath in the kitchen since he was a few weeks old, here he is enjoying his kitchen bath made with warm water from the stove. Branko loved it, and we enjoyed not having to bend over on the tub :)
Another big thing that happened in 2021 was putting Branko in his crib overnight. Branko sleeps in his crib for all of his naps, but we still put him in the bassinet overnight, for convenience and for my piece of mind. It was harder for me than it was for him. I cried looking at his empty bassinet that night, but so far, we have not brought him to our room due to lack of sleep! 



Hanging with dad, I'm sure they are watching football or soccer here. 
We got Branko a bumbo chair to work on sitting up, he's starting to warm up to it a little bit here, normally he would scream right away. Sometimes bribing him with the TV helps. 
Another big thing that happened in January was taking Branko to my parents/Auntie Jodi's while I'm at work. Patrick had off during the holidays at the end of December, so it was an easy transition for me going back to work and figuring out the milk situation before dropping him off at my parents. Right now, Patrick drops Branko off at my parents and then if he goes to Auntie Jodi's, one of my parents drops him off there. He sure loves spending time with them!
See what I mean, bribing Branko to sit in his bumbo chair with the TV, like I said, he loves watching anything green on the TV.

First time in his bouncer, we now have this in our family room replacing the swing, which he never really liked.

We also welcomed baby Bennett on January 12th into the family. I can't wait to see Branko and Bennett grow up together and get into mischief. Congratulations to Kristen and Chris. I haven't met him yet, but Branko has numerous times!

I love this picture of Crosby. Apparently, Branko had been passing some gas and pooped. Judging by Crosby's face, it must have been a stinky one!
Branko seems pretty proud of himself after that one!
I love seeing the bond between Branko and Nora!

Disney World and baby #3!!

Both boys fell asleep as soon as we landed.... in Orlando. We waited for everyone to get off the plane before waking up these sleeping beauties. We started the trip out rough, I was super sick with no energy the day before we left and Patrick had the same symptoms the day we left. I think we may have had Covid after hearing what other people's symptoms were after we got back. I didn't want to bring their car seats, so we booked a bus to take us from the airport to our hotel. NEVER AGAIN! (at least while the boys are this young). We waited in the airport for the bus for an hour and a half. Recipe for disaster after waking up early, driving to Midway airport, being on a plane, waiting in line for the bus, and then sit on the bus to get to the resort. It was a lot and not a great way to start the trip. We'll get a car rental next time. Yes, we thought about an uber, but they only have options for 1 carseat. Sip and see-Oh the places you will go! Also, Easter, Masters, and April randoms

 On Wednesdays, Branko has daycare, leaving me with the two younger boys. To be honest, having all three of them is easier than juggling the younger two by myself. Conrad is at a tough age right now where he wants all of my attention and gets aggressive/jealous when I need to feed or hold Michael. On this particular day, we needed to get out of the house, so Conrad led us through Target. He ran away twice, which was fun chasing him with the doona stroller. Thankfully, it wasn't busy! I hate the running away phase! We also went to my favorite coffee shop. Meanwhile, Branko learned about trains at school and was excited to go to his mama's house as his destination. Michael has started to be more alert these days. I just LOVE his eyes Superhero brothers!
