The Donovans

November 6th was our little guys first real smile, and boy does it make all the exhaustion worth it! Starting to bring his hands together :) Nora being put to work and getting to feed her baby cousin! More smiles with Auntie Jodi! My favorite time of day are mornings in bed with Branko, that’s if he slept well the night before. But he is extra smiley in the morning! And those blue eyes really pop with the lighting in our room! Fun filters with Nora! This was the first onesie I bought when I was pregnant. I was in Arizona with some girlfriends for the Waste Managemenr golf tournament back in Jan/early Feb. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the onesie is a tad girly with the ruffled sleeves! (hard to tell in this picture). I like to call this the “Bjorn” shirt. If you know, you know.  Since the masters were cancelled this year, it was rescheduled for November. Patrick and Branko have matching “Yama boy” shirts. This picture was taken after he peed through THREE outfits. This was the day I knew we needed to size up on diapers and clothes.  I thought I would take some pictures to remember how tired I looked and Branko and I don’t have many pictures together.  Tummy time! He actually does pretty good with it! Branko and Charlie get to hang out. Lindsey and I went on a 2 hour walk with these future besties.  Our little Halloween pumpkin! He had a cute little outift on that said, “mommy’s little monster.” However, Patricks favorite soccer team was playing.  Don’t ask what we are... we couldn’t leave the little guy dressed up alone?! We decorated our front porch for the trick or treaters. We had a smoke machine, strobe light, and scary music. We watched the trick or treaters from a distance and enjoyed the fire in the fireplace inside. We actually had quite a bit of trick or treaters for being in the midst of a pandemic! Holding his rattle! He wears this outfit... A LOT. Whenever dad dresses him. 

The blogger app has a glitch and doesn’t download the pictures I’ve been posting and also makes it difficult for me to edit. So bear with me! I thought I would post some random pictures from his first month! During this month, it has been a bit of a blur. While Patrick was off for the first 2 weeks, I feel like we took turns napping during the day. Weeks 3 and 4 were really hard. I had a hard time with breastfeeding (it hurt more than the labor contractions) and lack of sleep was tough. My mom came up a few times so I could take a nap. Thanks mom!  This month he is up about every 1.5-2 hours at night, doesn’t miss a meal and will make it known when it’s time to eat, he’s starting to hold his head up, and has started to noticed his mobile on his swing, however, hates the swing. He started to take naps in his crib at 4 weeks old. He enjoys watching the tv when it’s green, since dad enjoys watching soccer, golf, and football!   

Branko was supposed to get his pictures done when he was 2 weeks old, but the photographer had to cancel due to her son breaking his hand. So, Branko was 3 weeks old in his photos, it was a chilly fall day, and he rocked the photo shoot!
