The Donovans

Big soccer guy. Branko really enjoys his baths every night! We don't actually bathe him every night, but we do stick him in the tub as part of his bedtime routine.  We had some warm December days where we were able to get a few walks in. My grandma bought hi this adorable hat. Branko was so mesmerized by the ceiling fan this particular night, he couldn't get enough of it. He kept smiling at it and was so happy. First time playing in his high chair! Patrick loves his bud light, so we have this little ornament and I just had to get a picture with Branko. Patrick loves this photo of our little guy, he's had it as his background since! (Are you noticing a big trend with the Crystal Palace gear?) The "B" hat was Patricks Christmas gift to Branko. It's a little big, but it has been fun to keep putting it on him and seeing his head start to fit it more and more each day.  

Last year, Patrick was supposed to dress up as Santa for all the little kids on my side of the family, so my Aunt Maria bought the Santa suit, but Patrick wasn't feeling well that particular day. So we had this Santa suit in our Christmas bins and I couldn't resist getting a picture of the two of them. Next year, Patrick will dress up as Santa to surprise all the kids! Branko was pretty pumped to hang out with Santa, we'll see how next years picture goes! This year for Christmas, I didn't know what to get Branko, especially since he has everything he needs right now and won't remember it anyway. I decided to buy a light bulb on the Hoan Bridge in Milwaukee. Patrick and I had been talking about buying one a few years ago when we first heard about it.  It was a different Thanksgiving this year. Our good friend's father passed away from Covid shortly before Thanksgiving and it was just all getting too close to home for our comfort. We decided to celebrate Thanksgiving with just the 3 of us. All of the smaller turkey's were sold out, so we bought a 14 lb turkey, that we actually finished within the week. We made turkey pot pie with the leftovers and it was delicious! Perfect comfort food to be cuddled up at home and welcome the holiday season. Patrick smoked the turkey on the Traeger, he woke up at 5 AM to get it all prepared and started, thinking it would get done around 3PM, turns out it was done at 10AM! We didn't have everything quite ready by then, but we sure had a great meal! It was in the 40's the morning of Thanksgiving, so we made some Irish cream coffees, put them in to-go cups and went for a walk around the neighborhood. I haven't been on here in a while because I was getting frustrated with the blogger app not uploading all of my photos, so here I am on a desk top computer, hoping for better luck as we have a lot of catching up to do. Cute picture of our blue eyed Branko. Had to have Branko wear this on Election Day! My parents came up for a visit to drop a few things off and soak in some Branko snuggles to allow us to eat dinner without being interrupted by this little guy. Normally, we just buy our Christmas trees from Lowes or Menards, but this year, we decided to go to a local tree farm in Franklin called Buffalo Bills. We didn't cut one down, but we enjoyed walking around and decided to buy a pre-cut one instead, much easier at this point in our lives. Maybe in the future we'll have Branko pull around the sled to find the right Christmas tree. I'd say it was our most beautiful Christmas tree we've ever had and I can't believe how little needles were dropped while we had it...
